EU Project 'Moving On' - 3rd Transnational Partner Meeting in Padua, Italy

Exchange House Ireland was represented by Jules McDonagh and Simon Finnegan at the 3rd Transnational Partner meeting in Padua, Italy, of the Moving On project.

The meeting was hosted by the project's lead partner, GEA Social Cooperative and was a perfect opportunity for the partners to review the current status of the project and determine what is left to do.

The majority of focus was on the production of materials and deliverables created by the project; some of the deliverables the project will produce are:

  • The research - Moving On: Access to Sport for Roma, Sinti, & Travellers in Europe
  • A collaborative review of local strategies for RST
  • A video storytelling of stories and interviews from the RST communities
  • An educational toolkit with quizzes and games for kids and students from schools, youth clubs, sport clubs to increase the impact
  • A collaborative policy paper of national authorities to include sport as a tool to advance RST inclusion
  • A campaign toolkit
  • A code of conduct promoting fair play, values, rules for inclusion of RST in sport from the Advisory Group for EU sport organisations and local authorities
  • A final conference with an exhibition “A collection of life stories of Roma, Sinti and Travellers in sport”

It was a productive meeting with all partners enthused and excited about the final lap of the project

The final meeting will be in Brussel in November
