United Nation's Event - Raising Awareness of Poverty

Our event 'Raising Awareness of Poverty' which aimed to highlight the issue of homelessness in Ireland, took place yesterday.

It was the final phase of a 3 part programme including:

-An information workshop with Louisa Santoro, CEO of Stepping Stones and our Family Support & Crisis Intervention Manager; Kevin Burn.

-'An exploration of the experiences of homelessness in Dublin through art' with several young Traveller men on our Community Employment Scheme.

This event was funded by the Social Inclusion Division of the Department of Social Protection as part of the United Nations International Day for the Eradication of Poverty on October 17th.
