Exchange House Ireland is hosting a National Traveller Mental Health conference in Wynn’s Hotel on Thursday 26th of May 2016. The conference will be a celebration of Traveller culture and showcase the varied and excellent community suicide prevention work occurring within the Traveller community and host talks and panel discussions with professionals and experts within the Traveller and mental health communities.The conference will cover topics such as Traveller Culture, supporting people with suicide, youth mental health, needs of LGBT Travellers and engaging Traveller men in mental health.‘Bring them Back Alive’, written by Patricia Mc Cann, a highly recommended, moving play about suicide and bereavement will perform two excerpts of the play at the conference.
